In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’d like to highlight one of our active officers, Harry Valverde!
Officer Valverde was hired as a Lancaster City Police officer three years ago. He wanted to follow in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps by becoming a police officer. His father served with NYPD and his grandfather was the head of the metropolitan police force in New Scotland Yard.
He is currently a patrol officer serving on D Platoon in the southeast quadrant of the City. Harry Valverde is an exemplary officer, demonstrating his steadfast dedication and commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity while serving our community. He was recently awarded Lancaster City’s Employee of the Month in August, which serves as a testament to his hard work.
Officer Valverde hopes to one day join the Criminal Investigation Division and then eventually work his way up the chain and lead the Patrol Division, the largest division in the Bureau.
We want to use this opportunity to thank Officer Valverde for his hard work and commitment to keeping Lancaster City safe!
