The Lancaster City Bureau of Police’s own Detective Sergeant Jessica Higgins has received the Outstanding Investigator of the Year Award, presented by Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams.
Det. Sgt. Higgins was acknowledged for her outstanding investigative work into the crimes committed by former Lancaster City police officer Andrew “Scott” Selby, ultimately leading to his conviction and the conviction of an additional offender. Det. Sgt. Higgins’ relentless pursuit of justice and compassion for the victims of these crimes is truly commendable.
“I’m grateful for the survivors who placed their trust in me as we pursued justice” said Det. Sgt. Jessica Higgins. “I hope this gave them some measure of comfort and worked to rebuild their trust in the criminal justice system.”
Det. Sgt. Higgins was also honored with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police’s Detective of the Year Award at its recent award banquet.
