Join us in celebrating the remarkable career of K-9 Theo, who has officially retired after almost 5 years of dedicated service to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and our community. Partnered with Officer Nathan Parr, Theo has been an invaluable team member, playing a critical role in keeping our streets safer.
Throughout his career, which began in February 2020, Theo was deployed 159 times, including 20 times assisting other police departments outside the city. He participated in 59 narcotic searches, during which he located 89 grams of heroin, 16.5 grams of methamphetamine, 5 grams of cocaine, and 6,300 grams of marijuana.
One of Theo’s most notable moments was his successful apprehension of a fleeing armed suspect who had a stolen firearm. This incident highlights his bravery and commitment to duty.
As Theo steps into retirement, we thank him for his years of dedicated service and wish him plenty of well-deserved rest, belly rubs, and treats. Thank you, Theo, for protecting and serving Lancaster City with distinction!
