This afternoon, a jury found former Lancaster City police officer Andrew “Scott” Selby guilty on one count of rape forcible compulsion, one count of rape of a person less than 13 years of age, three counts of sexual assault and one count each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 13 and statutory sexual assault. Today’s verdict is an important step toward justice for Selby’s victims, and a testament to the Bureau’s commitment to seeking justice. We commend the excellent work of Detective Sgt. Jessica Higgins, and Assistant District Attorneys Lapp and Haverstick, in securing this conviction.
