Last month, Officer Harry Valverde was presented with the Veteran of Foreign Wars John Radko Award for Outstanding Police Officer!
This recognition is well-deserved, as Officer Valverde set a high bar of personal excellence, initiative, dedication, tenacity, and professionalism for the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. Last year, Officer Valverde handled over 800 incidents. His proactive policing approach led to 52 separate sets of criminal charges which included 48 felony counts, 75 misdemeanor counts, 11 separate firearm arrests, and an additional 84 summary violations. Officer Valverde has not only made our community safer but has also inspired his fellow officers to strive for the same high standards.
Officer Valverde’s remarkable performance and dedication are a testament to his outstanding service and truly make him deserving of the recipient of this award.
